25 – 35 Ton Lowbed Trailer

A 2-axle lowbed sized for a 25-35 ton working payload — the entry point into low-deck heavy haul, built for the wheel loaders, mini excavators and compact cranes that a flatbed can't clear under a bridge with.

Payload 25 – 35 Ton
Axles 2 × 13T
Deck Height 450 – 650 mm
Main Beam Q345B Box Girder
Two-axle lowbed trailer rated for 30 tons loaded with a wheel loader
ISO 9001 CE OEM/ODM

Over 10 years of manufacturing excellence, trusted by clients in 50+ countries.

Twenty-five to thirty-five tons is where most contractors first move off a flatbed and onto a proper lowbed. It is the bracket for a 20-25 ton excavator, a mid-size wheel loader, or a compact crane — equipment that is not yet pushing 60-80 ton territory but still needs the deck low enough to clear standard bridge and power-line limits.

At this rating a 2-axle chassis carries the load without the extra tare weight and cost of a third axle. Two 13-ton axles under a Q345B box girder is the build that ships for this class, and it is the lightest, cheapest lowbed in our range to buy and to run.

Matching the Trailer to the Machine

A 30 ton lowbed trailer is sized for equipment in the 20-25 ton class once you add the bucket, counterweight and a full fuel tank — a 25 ton excavator on paper is usually closer to 27-28 tons loaded for transport. We size the main beam and axle rating with that margin built in rather than quoting the trailer at exactly the machine's nameplate weight.

If your fleet regularly moves equipment above 35 tons, the 3-axle 40-50 ton bracket is the better starting point — see our 40 ton lowbed trailer page. Buying a 2-axle unit and running it at its limit on every trip shortens axle and beam life fast.

Gooseneck and Deck Options

Fixed gooseneck is the standard build at this rating — lowest tare weight, nothing hydraulic to maintain, equipment loads over fold-down rear ramps. Most 2-axle orders leave the factory this way.

Mechanical detachable neck lets the front section unpin so the deck settles closer to the ground for machines that struggle with a ramp angle. It costs less than a hydraulic RGN and suits fleets that do not need a two-minute hookup. For frequent ground-level loading, our dedicated RGN trailer line runs hydraulic detachment as standard from 35 tons up.

Specification Notes for This Class

Deck height. A 2-axle bogie sits slightly higher than a 3-axle build, typically 450-650mm loaded. That is still well under the 1,150mm+ deck of a standard flatbed and clears most bridge and overpass limits with a 20-25 ton machine on board.

Axle brand. FUWA and BPW are what export buyers ask for by name; we fit both. At this payload class the axles rarely fail first — weld quality on the gooseneck pivot and the main beam steel grade matter more over the trailer's life.

Suspension. Mechanical leaf spring is standard and is the right call for unpaved and mixed-surface routes across Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia — it survives overload better than air suspension and any local welder can repair it.

Other Ratings We Build

The same lowbed frame family scales from 25 to 150+ tons. Step up to the 40 ton lowbed, the 50-55 ton RGN lowbed, or our high-volume 60 ton lowbed trailer as your equipment gets heavier. See the full lowbed trailer range for every axle configuration we build.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size excavator or loader does a 30 ton lowbed trailer carry?

It's sized for equipment in the 20-25 ton class once you add the bucket, counterweight and fuel — a 20 ton excavator with attachments is typically 22-24 tons at the deck. If your usual load is closer to 30-35 tons loaded, tell us and we will confirm the axle rating covers it with margin.

Is a 2-axle lowbed strong enough for 35 tons?

Yes, within this bracket. Two 13-ton axles are rated to carry 26 tons on paper, but the trailer's main beam and kingpin are engineered for the full 35 ton class with the standard safety margin. If 35 tons is your everyday load rather than your occasional heaviest one, we would still recommend confirming your route's axle-load limits before ordering.

What's the difference between a lowbed and a lowboy trailer?

Nothing — same trailer, different regional term. Lowbed is standard across Africa, the Middle East and Asia; lowboy is the North American term. Buyers searching either word are describing the same double-drop, low-deck platform.

What is the delivery time?

Standard 2-axle builds typically ship 20-30 days from order confirmation. We quote CIF to most African, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian ports, and can pair the trailer with a matched tractor unit on the same order.
